Tixel® is the only fractional skin resurfacing device to transfer thermal energy directly to skin via conduction (the most effective form of heat transfer). When this heat is applied to skin by a medical grade in situ self-disinfecting titanium tip, it triggers the natural healing and skin rejuvenation processes. Skin rejuvenation occurs through the stimulation of new collagen production, which in turn tightens the skin.

With Tixel, treatments can be fast and effective with non-laser technology. Get impressive results with the patented thermo-mechanical Action™ (TMA) from Tixel. Thermo-mechanical fractional injury (TMFI) therapy (Tixel) is effective for skin rejuvenation on skin types II-V, according to the results of a retrospective study published in Lasers in Surgery and Medicine (March 2021).

Tixel® skin resurfacing can improve deep wrinkles & fine lines, acne & acne scarring, skin tone & texture, as well as many other things. During your consultation, PA Maegen Kennedy or NP Sheree Jackson will determine if skin resurfacing treatments are right for you. With a custom treatment plan in place, you’ll be able to get the look you’ve always wanted!

Tixel is great for:

  • Improvement in skin texture, wrinkles and fine lines resulting in younger looking skin
  • Better definition of eye lids
  • Reduced acne and scarring
  • Skin tightening

During Tixel® treatments, we will ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible. The Tixel® machine has a handheld device that we will use to pass over the predetermined treatment areas of the body for a fraction of a second. In this fraction of a second, short bursts of heat will be applied to the skin until the whole treatment area has been covered. Treatments usually last 30-60 minutes.

Tixel uses a titanium heated tip that contains 81 needle-like tiny pyramids which heat up to 400 degrees Celsius – similar to the heat of a laser treatment. It presses on the skin for milliseconds but does not penetrate it. When it briefly touches it its thermal energy is transferred to the upper layers creating tiny holes or pores. It is this micro damage that stimulates new collagen production.
